Gap Year in Africa - Vrijwilliger of Ranger?

Wil je graag als vrijwilliger werken voor een conservation, wildlife en/of community project in Afrika of  opleiding tot ranger (gids) doen? Je kan werken voor wildlife conservation, community projecten en/of sustainable tourism, maar je kan ook een opleiding tot ranger volgen.

Rangers Cursussen

Er zijn cursussen die opleiden tot ranger (gids) in natuurreservaten en parken. Je leert alles over de natuur, conservaton, rijden in 4x4's, schieten en allerlei andere vaardigheden die nodig zijn in deze wildparken.  Eenjarige opleidingen vinden plaats in Zuid-Afrika en de 28-daagse field course kan je ook in Kenia, Botswana en Zuid Afrika doen. Gap Year Projecten

Deze projecten duren één, twee of drie maanden en het leuke is dat je een combinatie maken. De programma's bieden een mix van sociale, maatschappelijke en wildlife activiteiten. Je krijgt de gelegenheid bij te dragen aan community projecten, waar de locale bevolking van profiteert, en/of je in te zetten voor wildlife en marine conservation projecten. Je doet dit samen met leeftijdsgenoten uit de hele wereld! Engels is de voertaal! Alles bij elkaar dus zeer leerzame én leuke projecten! Het is mogelijk na deze programma's voor nog een zgn. 'adventure' te kiezen, bijvoorbeeld een safari of wat dacht je van het beklimmen van de hoogste berg van Afrika, Mount Kilimanjaro?

Gap year projecten in Tanzania

Weather you stay with us for 1, 2 or 3 months, your Tanzania gap year programme is specifically designed to keep you off the well-worn backpackers trail but give you a taste of everything that makes this country a favourite with independent travellers. Our main projects are based outside Tanga, one of Tanzania’s oldest coastal towns and in the Moshi area of northern Tanzania, in the foothills of Kilimanjaro. Our base at Tanga is situated in the heart of a rural coastal community literally on the Indian Ocean front.
